Embrace a Stream

This week (November 7-13th) is our only chance to increase available matching funding for research on our beloved and famous Swift River!  Yes, you have a chance to significantly give back to a river that has given all of us anglers so much over the decades.  Here’s how…

The Trout Unlimited National “Embrace A Stream Challenge” is a week-long competition to bring critical funding to important local Trout Unlimited chapter projects in assisting streams across the country and the Swift River has been chosen as one of these selected sites.  Best of all, your donation of $10 or more will be doubled with matching grants up to $500.  The Pioneer Valley Chapter #276 of Trout Unlimited in Western Massachusetts will use our EAS Grant to study the wild brook trout population in the Swift River in Belchertown, MA in cooperation with MA Fish & Wildlife and the MA Outdoor Heritage Foundation to determine the numbers, size, movement, and health of these wild, reproducing brook trout.

Donations must be placed online and only from Nov. 7-13, 2022 to qualify for this matching fund program.
